In both admission cycle i.e January and July, the distance learning university offers online admission to CIG – Certificate in Guidance programme. It comes under the SOE – School of Education. All Students need to submit their Certificate in Guidance solved assignments before last date and can appear in upcoming term-end examination.

The university offers 6 months CIG discipline in distance education mode solely. The admission notification of Ignou CIG Programme is available online at university online portal and eligible students can check the Application Last Date, Fee & Qualification of Ignou cig admission online by visiting the university online portal.

IGNOU Certificate in Guidance Prospectus & Online Admission : The direct link of Ignou CIG Student Handbook and Prospectus is available online to download. The prospectus of Certificate in Guidance includes admission form, student card and acknowledgement slip etc.

The applicants whose wants to take online admission to CIG programme, need to go through the online admission portal i.e. at Ignou on-line Admission Portal – onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in. First of all, eligible students need to register for cig course. After registration, the learner need to logged in with their correct login credentials to fill up the Ignou Online Admission Form for CIG – Certificate in Guidance.

About Certificate in Guidance Programme : The discipline is a joint project of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). The target groups include teachers, parents, social workers, personnel from voluntary agencies or any individual who is interested in understanding and guiding children.

• Eligibility Criteria : To take admission in cig, the minimum eligibility should have : Teachers of recognized Institutions OR Pass in Matriculation/SSC OR BPP from IGNOU
• Medium of Instruction : English, Hindi and Odia
• Programme Duration: The programme duration is to complete cig certificate is 6 month (Minimum) and 2 years (Maximum)
• Fee Structure : The total fee of cig discipline is Rs 1,100/- for full programme

IGNOU CIG COURSES & SYLLABUS : The certificate discipline consists of 4 courses. Each courses have four Credits. One has to acquire 16 credits for a certificate. Below are Course Code, Title of the Course and the related course credits :
